French oak Beams from a Napoleonic Cavalry barracks in Normandy, France.
Four of the longest straight oak beams we have ever seen at 43 ft long. (13M).
Cross section is 16" x 16" at one end tapering gradually to 13" x 13" at the other.
Their condition is very sound with virtually no worm despite their age.
Beams of this length and dimension are rare.
They could be sliced to give
8 x 43ft beams which would be ideal for a long hall or barn.
They could be cut into shorter,
stouter lengths.They could be planked to give wonderful floorboards.
