Pine Front Doors from Cox's Architectural Salvage Yard.

So many traditional front doors were lost in the 1980/90's rush to plastic and aluminium replacements that there is now a shortage of originals in good
condition. To get over this we make a range of pine doors, mainly from reclaimed timber, in a range of classic designs and sizes. Scroll down, select a pattern,
tell us the size and let us quote. A word of advice. If you have a nice old painted
front door, don't be tempted to strip it. Very often the paint is hiding a multitude
of sins, including scorch marks, filler, repairs and evens signs of use elswhere.
The stripped result can be very disappointing. Instead sand it heavily,
removing any loose flaking paint, fill and sand again. Then apply 2 or 3
coats of good exterior paint.

morticed joints from reclaimed antique pine. Heavy mouldings
to bottom panels and fully sanded. Glazed if required.
