Very Large Meat safe. From a local country pile's huge basement kitchen
this large meat safe would have been used to store haunches of venison,
sides of beef and other cuts, in a cool fly free environment. Probably made
from wood from the estate by carpenters employed by the estate, the sides
are of wide plank elm and lid of pine.
The whole cabinet dates from around
1800 and has been expertly restored. Ask for more detailed photos.

We've laid a new pattern down and quality castings are now being made in an English foundry. Using reclaimed Victorian timber for the seats, the benches are available in 2 sizes. Supplied as original equipment to the Cotswold Line. Painted original
brown with cream lettering.
